You will come to know that what appears today to be a sacrifice will prove instead to be the greatest investment that you will ever make - Gorden B. Hiskley.
According to spiritual scholars, on the judgement day everyone will
regret. Those who are fortunate to be in paradise and those who are in hell;
The people in hell will regret for not abiding by rules and regulation of God
at all, while those who are in paradise will wish they do more than what they
have done to attain paradise. The same is applicable to attain
a reasonable level of achievement here on earth. It’s all about what you sow
today. Generally, it is called sacrifice but Gorden B. Hiskley view is even
more correct, it is lovely to call it an investment. While the losers will come
to realize the truth regretting for not sacrificing their time, energy,
pleasure, money and or other resources at all, those who sacrifice a little
will which they sacrifice more. Play now and pay latter or pay now and play
latter, it’s a choice.
“Human progress is neither automatic nor inevitable... Every step toward
the goal of justice requires sacrifice, suffering, and struggle; the tireless
exertions and passionate concern of dedicated individuals.” This is according
to the great American activist Martin Luther King, Jr who became the most
visible spokesperson and leader in the Civil Rights Movement. I don’t know of
you, but I have never seen someone win without try. If only you are ready to
sacrifice many things for one particular thing and sacrifice enough for some
considerable time. You will have an automatic ticket to achievement.
Napoleon Hill believes “Great achievement is usually born of great
sacrifice, and is never the result of selfishness.” Yes! The reason behind
great achievement is to sacrifice oneself to the benefit of someone or others. You
either achieve for them or achieve through them. You cannot be in-between. Remember,
“To give anything less than your best, is to sacrifice the gift’ says Steve
Prefontaine.
