you don’t have ambition, you shouldn’t be alive – Aliko Dangote
Being ambitious is aiming towards
something significant. We naturally grow physically but something propels it;
what we eat and drink. The same is applicable if you care to grow who you are
and what you have, increase your level of ambition towards being the best.
“Ambition leads me not only farther than any other man has been before me, but
as far as I think it possible for man to go” says James Cook.
If you are complaining about the bad
situation of things, please check yourself. It means you believe in benefiting
rather than contributing. An ambitious man is a producer not a consumer, with
the knowledge of being the ultimate benefactor at the end. Napoleon Bonaparte
believes “Great ambition is the passion of a great character. Those endowed
with it may perform very good or very bad acts. All depends on the principles
which direct them.” The world will be a better place if we have people with
ambition guided by positive principles more than people with selfish and
negative principles.
I have noticed genius and smart guys are
always successful in one way or another, but not as successful as ambitious men
with little intelligent as supported by Salvador Dali, “Intelligence without
ambition is like a bird without wings.” That is why we see the genius and smart
guys working for the less intelligent men with lots of ambition. Jay Leno says
“Ambition beats genius 99% of the time”. “A man without ambition is like a
beautiful worm--it can creep, but it cannot fly” – author unknown.
