“So many of our dreams at first seem impossible,
then they seem improbable, and then, when we summon the will, they soon become
inevitable.” - Christopher Reeve.
It is natural
to feel uneasy whenever you are trying to move to new horizon, most especially
when the desire is so great to intimidate your present knowledge, resources and
context. Just have it in mind that “No matter where you’re from, your dreams
are valid” says Lupita Nyong’O.
The great
American rapper, record producer, actor, and poet, Tupac Shakur believes that
“Reality is wrong, dreams are real”. So, you don’t have to be intimidated as a
result of the size of your dream compare to where you are and what you have.
All you need to do is to let your dream become your reality, which will change
your context to attract what its take to make the dreams come true. He also
said, “My mama always used to tell me: 'If you can't find somethin' to live
for, you best find somethin' to die for.” That is truly dream. What are you
living for, or willing to die for.
A pioneer of
the American animation industry and a great entrepreneur who has introduced
several developments in the production of cartoons, Walt Disney, knew quiet
well that, “All our dreams can come true, if we have the courage to pursue
them.” The question is where do we get the courage? Very simple, from
acquisition of knowledge; if you can acquire enough knowledge on what you dream
to achieve, you will have the courage to pursue it. When it comes to dreams,
Walt Disney also believes “If you can dream it, you can do it” and that “It's
kind of fun to do the impossible.”
