When it is obvious that the goals cannot be reached, don't adjust the
goals, adjust the action steps.” – Confucius
There is great link between your dream, goals, and
plans, but to accomplish them you need to take action. Hiliare Belloe said
“while you are dreaming of the future or regretting of the past, the present,
which is all you have slips from you and is gone.” The only way to achieve your
goal is to act on the plan not talking about it. Bo Bennett remarked, “A dream becomes a goal when action is taken toward
its achievement.” Those who are good at talking are poor at acting, although
some are gifted in both. Are you?
According to Gregg Haris, “two third of people
surveyed (sixty seven of one hundred) set goals for themselves. But of those
sixty seven, only ten have made realistic plans to reach their goals and out of
those ten, only two follow through and actually made it happen.” Meaning the
most difficult part of achieving your dream is the action, if there is anything
in addition to that, it is your right attitude towards the action.
No action, no accomplishment. The great Spanish Artist Pablo Picasso
says it all, “Action is the foundational key to all success.” If you are
wondering why you are not achieving meaningful result, it is because you are
postponing taking action.”The time for action is now. It's never too late to do
something.” - Antoine de Saint-Exupery. Conrad Hilton believes “Success seems to
be connected with action. Successful people keep moving. They make mistakes,
but they don't quit.” Action without desired outcome is not a failure but a
lesson toward the result. Before you give up, consider this advice from Tony
Robbins, “The path to success is to take massive, determined action.”
