It’s not that
I’m so smart; it’s just that I stay with problems longer. - Albert Einstein
A conversation
with a friend the other day reminds me of how important it is to understand and
put into use the principle of perseverance. Just like her, there are lots of
people who have this naturally using it to achieve whatever they set their
minds to achieve. In her story, she has win lots of battle, turn and enemy to
friend and become favourites of many of her boss because she never let their
discouragement win over her. She learns to stay long enough with their
character to succeed over them. What a winning attitude.
“I will
persist until I succeed. Always will I take another step. If that is of no
avail, I will take another, and yet another. In truth, one step at a time is
not too difficult. I know that small attempts, repeated, will complete any
undertaking” muse Og Mandino. That is one trait that will beat been a genius.
Success is 99% doggedness and 1% brilliancy. In support of this, Julie Andrews
deduce “Perseverance is failing 19 times and succeeding the 20th.”
If you want to
be a winner, you will stop acting like a loser given up to challenges required
to succeed. Jim Watkins says “A river cuts through rock, not because of its
power, but because of its persistence.” From experience Henry Wadsworth knows
that “Perseverance is a great element of success. If you only knock long enough
and loud enough at the gate, you are sure to wake up somebody.”
