“The
beginning of a habit is like an invisible thread, but every time we repeat the
act we strengthen the strand, add to it another filament, until it becomes a
great cable and binds us irrevocably through act” – Orison Swell Marden.
Everything we do today naturally is a habit learnt overtime and
if all this is possible, every other thing could be learnt too. At birth we can
neither seat nor talk or walk, but as times went by, we were taught and
gradually learnt how to do it naturally. In support of this, the author of “The
7 Habits of Highly Effective Teens: The Ultimate.” ― Sean Covey, believes that “We
become what we repeatedly do”. “We are what we repeatedly do. Excellence then, is not an
act, but a habit.” Says Will Durant.
Why
are you using your faith against instead of in favour of you? Why the strong believe
that you can’t achieve it when you have not even make an attempts. Mahatma Gandhi calls
your attention thus;
“Your beliefs become your thoughts,
Your thoughts become your words,
Your words become your actions,
Your actions become your habits,
Your habits become your values,
Your values become your destiny.”
Do
you believe that? Even if that sound magical to you practicing that is
beneficial to you.
“Winning is habit. Unfortunately, so is losing.”- Vince Lombardi.
That is the brain behind goal setting. A goal not back up by repeated action
(habit) plan towards achieving it is already a failure. Aristotle relates “Quality is not an act, it
is a habit.” If you want to be known for something, choose to continue walking
in that path.
Quality is not an act, it is a habit.
Aristotle
