"I hated every minute of training, but I said,
'Don't quit. Suffer now & live the rest of your life like a champion."
– Muhammed Ali
Living like a
champion start from a determination of mind. Winners have to decide and reach
conclusion to do and give whatever it takes to see the dream come true. There
is one reason why you fail to quit as a champion according to Billie Jean King,
“A champion is afraid of losing. Everyone else is afraid of winning.” Since you
can’t afford to lose that is why you have to afford to keep trying.
One other
thing that qualify a champion as proclaimed by Wilma Rudolph is that “Winning
is great, sure, but if you are really going to do something in life, the secret
is learning how to lose. Nobody goes undefeated all the time. If you can pick
up after a crushing defeat, and go on to win again, you are going to be a
champion someday.” Every champion has one time or the other being a loser, but
keeps the title because they fail to accept defeat. They get up, brace up and
get back what belong to them.
“Champions are
not the ones who always win races - champions are the ones who get out there
and try. And try harder the next time and even harder the next time. 'Champion'
is a state of mind. They are devoted. They compete to best themselves as much
if not more than they compete to best others. Champions are not just athletes,”
says Simon Sinek. Whenever I see a champion, all I could think of is someone
who have consistently win over and over previous best performance while keeping
the winning picture in mind. Champions are people who believe in keep trying
not those who are on the couch after a lost or victory.
